Urban Voices

The uprisings around Gezi Park in Istanbul was one of our focus in 2013. We explored the humor and creative tools of the protestors.

As the struggle in Gaza escalated 2014 we started to examine the characteristics of culture and architecture that systematically makes it a political weapon specifically in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. These 2 archives open a critical view on cultural practices and phenomena that expresses the ethos, aspirations, and dreams of a specific population during a well-defined era and that triggered dramatic cultural changes.
