Global and Local
Exhibition at DEPO with 185 cartoons from Turkey, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany. The exhibition moves in the area of tension between the topics of press freedom, religion and Europe and wants to raise these issues, as the subtitle „Global and Local“ suggests, to their different national and local perspectives.
The exhibition was held as part of the Capital of Culture events of the metropolis on the Bosporus and opened on Friday, July 9th.
„Caricaturca“ was realized with financial support from, among others, the Dutch Consulate General in Istanbul, the German Foreign Ministry and the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia.
